Drunk driver hits and injures 2 people in Battery Park City

Two pedestrians were injured recently when they were struck by a smart car in Battery Park City. This incident occurred Friday, May 10, at roughly 10 p.m. Police believe a drunk driver is responsible for this event. According to a recent news report, a 42-year-old woman was just about to cross the West Side Highway when she and the crossing guard were both struck by a rented compact car.
