3 injured in armored truck accident in New York

On Monday, Jan. 28, an armored truck collided with a BMW convertible. This truck accident is believed to have been the result of truck driver negligence. A total of three people suffered injuries in the wreck. According to the laws of New York, the victim may be entitled to seek compensation for their losses.

According to a news report, the driver of the armored truck allegedly ran a stop sign and crashed into the BMW, causing the truck to flip on its side. This event occurred around 1 p.m. at the 200th Street and 115th Avenue intersection in Queens. One person in the convertible suffered injuries, as did two individuals in the truck. The current conditions of the victims is unknown.

Police have not filed charges in this case as of yet. Investigators are still in the process of reviewing what happened. Authorities have not indicated if any charges are pending against the truck driver.

The injuries suffered by the victims of this truck accident were reported to be minor in nature. Minor injuries are not always what they appear to be. It can take hours, days or even weeks for the full effect of an injury to hit a person, and the physical, emotional and financial toll such an injury can have on the victim can end up being rather significant. The driver of the BMW along with any passengers in the armored truck may seek compensation for their losses by pursuing personal injury claims against the party believed responsible and his or her employer in a New York civil court. If truck driver negligence can be established and damages verified, the victims may achieve maximum relief for their losses.
