Losing a loved one in a fatal pedestrian accident can devastate one’s family emotionally and financially. If negligence is thought to have contributed to such an event, the victim’s surviving family members may be entitled to seek compensation for their losses. In this particular case, legal claims may be filed against the driver and his employer in an effort to seek monetary damages for any and all documented losses sustained by the victim’s loved ones. An experienced attorney will have the ability to assist in filing the appropriate claims and negotiating the matter out of court or litigating the case in a New York civil court.
