Trucking accident injures 1 in New York

An elderly gentleman was severely hurt after being struck by a big rig in New York. This trucking accident reportedly occurred the afternoon of July 8, in Queens. As of the latest report, charges have not yet been filed in this case.

A man in his 70’s was reportedly crossing the street at Jamaica Avenue, near 168th Street, when he was run over by a dairy truck. Witnesses say that at least one of the victim’s legs was trapped under a wheel. The injuries to his leg are believed to be pretty extensive. While he is expected to survive the incident, his full prognosis is unclear at this point.

The truck driver believed responsible for this wreck did remain at the scene of the accident. Witnesses claim that he was visibly upset following the crash. No charges have been filed in this case, nor has it been reported if any charges are expected.

The victim of this trucking accident is a man who, according to others, is often seen walking around the neighborhood. The damage he sustained to his leg will likely affect his ability to perform his normal daily functions. Along with causing any physical disability, the victim may also struggle emotionally and financially as a result of this incident.
