In New York, a crash involving three vehicles is reportedly responsible for sending five people to the hospital, including the individual deemed at fault for the wreck. The multi-car accident reportedly occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 15. Criminal charges have been filed in the case.
According to reports, a 28-year-old male was driving his Honda Civic southbound on the Major Deegan Expressway when he clipped the back end of a semi-trailer. He then lost control of his car and struck another automobile, causing it to flip over. The driver and two passengers in the Civic had to be pulled out by rescue teams and were transported to an area hospital. Two people in the other car were also hurt and were taken to a medical facility in stable condition. The driver of the semi was not injured in the wreck.
The driver deemed responsible for this car accident was arrested and charged for the incident. An arraignment hearing is pending in this case. At this time, the official charges filed in this case have not been reported.
