Fatal car accident claims 3 lives, leaves 8 injured

A recent car crash in New York has left three people dead and eight people injured. According to police, speeding appears to have been a major factor in this car accident. If this is truly the case, the family members of the deceased and the surviving victims may be entitled to seek compensation for their losses.

This incident is said to have occurred on the Long Island Expressway in the early morning hours of Aug. 31. A 25-year-old male was allegedly speeding when he lost control and crashed into a guardrail. He and two of his passengers were thrown from the car and died at the scene of the crash. Two other passengers in the vehicle were transported to a medical center with unspecified injuries.

This crash led to a chain reaction collision involving six other vehicles, including a dump truck. It is believed that six more individuals suffered injuries in the secondary accident. Those injuries, at the time of the report, were believed to be minor. It is unknown if any of the injured were transported for medical care.

While the individual believed responsible for this car accident may not have survived, it does not mean that the victims of this wreck, including the surviving family members of the deceased passengers, will not be granted the right to seek compensation for their losses. According to the laws of New York, civil claims may be filed against the responsible party’s estate in an effort to recover any damages sustained. Through successful litigation, fair and full compensation may be awarded.
