2 injured in car accident with motorcyclist

The driver believed responsible for a crash that injured two people in New York died shortly after the wreck. According to reports, this individual was riding his motorcycle in Queens when he collided with the back-end of a small SUV. This car accident resulted in the two occupants of the SUV experiencing neck and back injuries.

In the late evening of Aug. 9, a 28-year-old male was riding his BMW motorcycle westbound on Grand Central Parkway when he hit the back of a black SUV. According to a report, this individual was weaving through traffic when he struck the vehicle, which was traveling in the center lane. The motorcyclist was taken to New York Hospital in Queens where he was later pronounced dead.

The two occupants of the SUV — a 49-year-old male and a 26-year-old female — both suffered injuries in the wreck and were transported to the same hospital. The severity of their injuries is unknown. However, it is believed that their injuries are non-life threatening.

Members of the New York City Police Department’s Collision Investigation Squad are still investigating this car accident. The victims of this crash may, in accordance with the laws of state, be entitled to pursue legal claims against the estate of the decedent in order to seek compensation for their losses. Those personal injury claims in which negligence can be successfully established may result in monetary judgments for any and all recoverable damages, such as medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering – and various others.
